While properly sealed vacuum packaging is designed to contain this liquid, minor leakage can sometimes occur due to real-world shipping and handling conditions, including: • Micro-tears in packaging during transit • Seal stress from freezing and thawing • Compression from ice packs and box stacking • Handling during shipping • Bone-in cuts puncturing packaging • Thermal expansion and contraction of frozen liquids If products arrived frozen solid, they remain safe to consume from a food safety standpoint.
